Data Protection Portfolio Service Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
A senior IT manager with 30 years of experience of enterprise IT and with a strong technical background. I have been providing IT services for the leading global professional services firm for 17 years and, as a result, I have developed the commercial and technical skills necessary to negotiate, develop and manage services provided both internally and externally. All services were delivered using mature ITIL principles.
My most recent success was to champion and lead the transformation of the PC Backup Service, which had been under my service portfolio for eight years, to an HP SaaS cloud offering which now services 60,000 global users.
To achieve this I engaged in detailed technical and commercial negotiations with HP, managed clients and project stakeholders across the UK and the USA, defined the technical architecture, planned and project managed the testing, piloting and then transition between the two services and created the new global support model. The outcome was a service with significantly reduced cost with unchanged SLAs and no disruption or data loss during the transition.
Leading up to this I had developed the PC Data Protection and Data Loss Prevention services from conception. My portfolio included the introduction of various new services including of the original PC Backup service using Iron Mountain Data Protector, the Device Control service using Lumension Sanctuary Device Control. In addition I created the associated processes to manage the use of encrypted memory keys and hard drives. I also over saw the transition of the PC Data Protection service to McAfee Data Loss Prevention service, which provided significant cost reduction and reduced technical complexity.
The outsourced nature of my IT services portfolio has meant I have managed third party teams both locally in the UK and offshore. In the past I have led teams of up to 20 staff.
The Microsoft Premier Support contract also falls within my Portfolio.
