06.11.10 Added rudimentary support for the new Individual Appliance Monitors (IAM) See the Current Cost web site for more information. I need to do some more work to add dynamic retitling of the pages, so that it becomes easy to identify which device each IAM is monitoring.
You can buy Current Cost Individual Appliance Monitors
from Amazon.
- IAM 1 - is my TV and other AV devices.
- IAM 2 - is a small lamp in my study, normally off.
- IAM 3 - kettle.
I have created a chart that combines average power with (IAM) kettle usage overlaid.
28.05.10 Created a summary page optimised for an Apple iPad. The page makes use of the iPad's larger screen size and shows numerous power and temperature charts. I have also created a link to this page from the front page that is only displayed if you are using an iPad. The link to the iPad specific page does not show up on any other browser.
15.05.10 Changed all the graphs to SVG images. These scale better but are larger so take longer to load.
25.04.10 Corrected a number of bugs in the custom display page.
26.03.10: My average power consumption during Earth Hour 2010 was around ~140w. This was all the lights and the TV etc off.
11.01.10 Created a page that shows the temperature from a network connected sensor.
11.10.09 Added graphs for the last full year.
27.06.09 Added graphs for the last six months.
03.05.09 Added graphs for the last three months.
11.04.09 Swapped my original Current Cost meter for a new CC128 model. I had to update the Perl script that captures the data, otherwise it seems to be working fine.
28.03.09: My average power consumption during Earth Hour 2009 was a very disappointing ~190w. This was all the lights and the TV etc off. I put it down to the central heating pump. I know my house normal quiescent power consumption is ~100-110w.
14.03.09: Updated the site to use iWebKit 4.5. The custom graph set up page looks a lot better, thanks to the built in form support.
Here is an article describing how I created these pages.
